Hare Krishna prabu. Great analysis as usual. I guess in our setting we can live by their example and only eat meat if theres an emergency just to keep body and soul toghether for Sri Krishna's service.

Otherwise it just not worth the karma and causing another living entity suffering just to eat his/her body.

Yes, exactly, that's the principle. When there is dire need, one may have to do many things one would not do normally.

Hare Krishna pr ji

PAMHO

Thank you for clarifying. I saw this video and he explains multiple other verses from Ramayana and concluded that Rama ate meat. He says that he took the meat which is offered in sacrifice. Can you please check and give your opinion on this - https://youtu.be/JJZoGn7vLKA?si=QgTv-5yMxGiJ0qk3

Animals offered in sacrifice were not to be eaten. The animals were supposed to be revived after the sacrifice was over. Meat eating of so-called sacrificed animals is a feature of Kali-yuga, and Lord Buddha came to stop it. It was not practiced in treta-yuga when Rama was present, therefore the whole argument is invalid.

Thank you Chaitanya prabhu for your wonderfully clarifying article.

I had a small question in this regard.

If a student has to go to a place like Taiwan for higher education how will they be able to survive there?

Most of the food in Taiwan in non vegetarian (even in the vegetarian options there's some meat)

And if the student doesn't get the time to cook then it will be very difficult for them...

They may not have the time to cook nutritious meals for themselves...and their health will suffer greatly as a result...thus affecting their academic pursuits...
